Associate professor with the department of Electrical Engineering at Federal University of Parana (UFPR), teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Carlos Marcelo Pedroso received his B.Eng. degree in Computer Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Parana (PUCPR) in 1994 and his Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal Technological University of Parana (UTFPR) in 2006.

He served as director of the Computer Engineering faculty at Pontifical Catholic University of Parana from 2006 to 2012, member of the board of the Engineering and Agronomy Council of the State of Paraná between 2013 and 2015 (CREAPR), Vice-coordinator of Electrical Engineering of UFPR between 2016 and 2017, and Coordinator of Electrical Engineering of UFPR between 2018 and 2019.

Research interests include data communication, modeling and performance evaluation, multimedia systems, Internet technologies, and quality in engineering education.
